Kid Photographers

Mara put batteries in her camera (my old camera) and the kids went crazy taking pictures. We'll start with Ben's pictures in his room... It shows you what he thinks is important...

After Nauvoo, we went to Ohio to see David's family.

We had a great time. Here are some pictures of Mara and Ben at the splash park, Ashlee with her cousin Alyssa at the zoo with a bird, and Mara and Ben climbing a tree with Samantha and Gabrielle at grandma's and grandpa's during hide-and-seek.

Nauvoo

We had a great time in Nauvoo. We met up with David's sister, Wendy. We hit all the sights and saw how they lived back in the 1840's. We got to ride horse carriages, oxen pulled wagons. David's neices watched the kids while we went to the temple. Here are some pictures and a video.

Mara as a seahorse

Every year a company, Missoulla Childrens theater, comes to Sheppard AFB and brings costumes, props, directors, and scripts and asks for kids to audition for the play. They audition Monday and rehearse till Friday when then they put on the play Friday and agian on Satuday. They write the plays to have lots of kids, for older kids and younger ones. Mara was a seahorse in the play "the little mermaid". She didn't have many lines, but had a blast!!!

painting like crazy

This week has been a busy week of painting. Since we moved here I wanted to get ride of our paneling that we had on one wall. We went back and forth if we should tear it down or paint over it. We decided to paint over it, and if it didn't work then tear it down. So we painted over all our walls a tan color and painted all our wood edging white. It took a lot of time and lot of painting since our front room is so big, but it looks GREAT, I think. You tell me. Here is the before and after pictures.
