Sledding in Texas

The kids and David had a snow day Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday was really cold and raining ice on and off all day, but the kids had to get outside and have some fun in the ice. First they just tromped around in it, but they kept slipping. So, we got a cardboard box and decided to make a sled out of it, since we live in Texas and don't own a real sled. Our driveway made the perfect sledding hill. At the bottom of the hill they ended up in the street, but there were no cars on the road that day, pretty much everything was shut down. They kids had a blast. David was a better pusher than I, the kids went a lot faster when he pushed. Mara and Ben loved it. Ashlee never made it down the hill, about half way she would try stopping it and ended up rolling off the "sled". David might have pushed her a little too fast :) But she still wanted to get back on and go down again, so she had a blast too.
